Press Release
Step into a space where silence speaks, where absence becomes presence, and where what is unseen begins to unfold.
Emptiness 2026, the 5th annual juried Smart International Online Group Art Exhibition by Exhibizone, invites you on a deeply reflective journey into one of the most profound and universal human experiences. Opening on April 9, and continuing through June 9, 2026, this exhibition is not simply something to view, but something to feel, question, and carry with you long after you leave.
At first glance, emptiness may seem like a void, a quiet absence. Yet as you move through this carefully curated collection, you begin to discover something more. In some works, emptiness reveals itself as solitude, longing, or the echo of something lost. In others, it transforms into stillness, clarity, and a sense of peaceful completeness. These artworks gently challenge what we think we know, inviting us to reconsider whether emptiness is something missing, or something essential.
Across cultures and philosophies, emptiness holds different meanings. Inspired by ideas found in Eastern thought and the wisdom of voices like Lao Tzu and Thich Nhat Hanh, this exhibition explores how emptiness can be the very space that gives life its meaning. It is the quiet center of a vessel, the pause between breaths, the unseen thread connecting all things.
As you explore the exhibition at https://www.exhibizone.com/emptiness2026, you will encounter artworks that span styles, cultures, and perspectives, each one offering a unique interpretation of this layered theme. Together, they form a powerful, global dialogue, one that speaks to both personal introspection and shared human experience.
This is more than an exhibition, it is an invitation.
An invitation to slow down.
To observe not only the artworks, but your own reactions to them.
To find moments of resonance, curiosity, or even discomfort, and to follow where they lead.
We warmly encourage you to engage with the artworks by sharing your thoughts, rating the pieces that move you, and leaving comments for the artists. Your voice becomes part of this evolving conversation, helping transform individual reflections into a collective experience of connection and understanding.
In a world that often feels full to the point of overwhelm, Emptiness 2026 offers something rare, a space to pause, to reflect, and to rediscover the quiet power within the void.

Floral Art
Next Gallery Show: Floral Art
The Jan Johansen Gallery of Rumriver Art Center is excited to present our winter call for entry exhibition: Floral Art. On Saturday, February 8th from 2 pm – 4 pm the Jan Johansen Gallery will be hosting an opening reception for the show. This is a free event and anyone is welcome to attend.
This show celebrates the beauty, diversity, and symbolism of flowers in visual art. A variety of mediums and artistic expressions are on display to convey the enchanting world of florals; such as painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, and mixed media. The featured artworks explore many aspects of florals—whether it’s a close-up study of a single bloom, an abstract interpretation, or an exploration of flowers in cultural, environmental, or emotional contexts.
This exhibition will be on display in our Jan Johansen Gallery from February 8th to March 1st 2025.
